Sins lead to misery
Sins lead to misery in this world and hereafter. Your heart becomes darker and darker until you repent. Your left with sorrow, regret, and loss of self-respect. It is only through the dhikr of Allah that the heart finds peace. Don't look for it elsewhere. Previously stated here.
Have low or no expectations from this dunya and its people. Insha'Allah you'll never be let down or disappointed. Tried and tested.

Talk and walk
(O women!) "If you fear (Allah), then do not tenderize (your) talk, because then he in whose heart there is the disease (of lust) will crave. And, speak a righteous talk. And (furthermore), remain glued within your homes, and do not make an exhibition (of yourselves) like the displays of (the pre-Islam) jaahiliyyah."
